Sheryl Shirley paints to convey the joy she feels exploring the stunning landscapes of Central New Hampshire. Nature walks through the White Mountains and paddling on the lakes and waterways near her home in Holderness inspire. She loves examining the patterns of ripples in local streams and lakes, appreciating the many colors of the changing seasons, and capturing the light as it sets upon the lakes.

Sheryl Shirley has displayed her paintings in New Hampshire galleries, including Artistic Roots in Plymouth, The Galleries at 30 Main in Meredith, and the Lakes Region Art Association in Tilton. In August 2025, one of her paintings was awarded first place in Acrylic Painting and another received first place in Watercolor Painting at the 85th Annual Members Exhibit of the Lakes Region Art Association.     

 In sharing her paintings and teaching painting classes in the studio at Artistic Roots, Sheryl Shirley hopes to continue inspiring others to search for beauty in the local landscape.
