Mosaics and Pottery
I am a potter, artist, and musician with a lifelong passion for creating. Growing up in a creative household—my father, a botanist and an amateur musician, my mother, a teacher and and amateur painter—I learned early on to find beauty in repurposing and reimagining. We never bought birthday cards; we made them by hand. Old fabrics and materials were transformed into something new and meaningful. This spirit of resourcefulness and creativity is at the heart of my work
today.
Though my early career was as a music librarian, I always felt the pull toward pottery. I dabbled in it while parenting, but raising my children meant putting my art on hold. Now that my kids are grown, I’ve fully embraced my craft, focusing on creating art that brings joy, beauty, and a sense of purpose to life.
My work is dedicated to sustainability and functionality. Each piece is handcrafted with care, designed not only to be visually beautiful
but also to serve a purpose. From wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramics to mosaics made from broken pottery, old watches, and other discarded
items, my art celebrates renewal and environmental consciousness.
I take pride in building strong relationships with my customers, collaborating on custom pieces that reflect their unique stories. Unlike mass-produced items, every piece I create is one-of-a-kind,
made with intention and love. Through my art, I aim to offer a way to bring beauty into everyday life while honoring the planet we share.
