Quilting

I have been quilting for around 35 years - it started as a dare from my husband. I read that there was a 6-week quilting class offered at a local high school through an adult education program. I had no sewing background and thought it would be fun and get me out of the house at bedtime! Gary rolled his eyes and asked, “ Was I serious?” Well, I was then!
I found a new challenge, and a new chapter began. We were making a 4-square wall hanging, and I bought purple, inexpensive fabric. It was finished in six weeks and was better than I thought possible! (It still hangs in my house)
And I was hooked- I made quilts for everyone, initially they were pieced and tied ,and then I learned the art of long arm quilting. I learned about quality fabrics and became obsessed with colors, books, and more fabric...
I love making a large quilt and seeing it on someone's bed. Making fun things to add to your home has become a part of my daily routine. Baby quilts are a joy to create, along with cloth children's books are a new creation.
