She was an artist and a retired K-5 Art Educator for Newfound Area School District for 22 years. She lived in New Hampton with her husband. Together, they had five children.

She graduated from Plymouth State University in 1993 with a BFA in Graphic Design. With a graphic art degree, she continued on to obtain her New Hampshire teaching certificate and an MEd in Integrated Arts from PSU. Recycled Art is a passion she developed while teaching some of her art lessons to her students with a recycled component. They saw the power of taking an existing item and with art, recreated and gave new life to the discarded!
