The ability to capture a likeness is perhaps more challenging that anything else in an artist’s skill set - but also one of the most satisfying. This short course will give students the opportunity to broaden their range of skills to include a pursuit which is both enjoyable and professionally useful. We will do short, fun exercises using each other as models, work from cast heads, practice from photo reference and master drawings, and complete one or more final portraits using photo reference of the student’s choosing. Students should have basic drawing skills to get the most benefit from the course. Click link to the right for materials list.
